The phrase Full Circle is defined as going “through a series of developments that lead back to the original source.” The original source for my musical beginnings was the electric guitar and Rock n’ Roll. Playing classic rock riffs on my Squier mini is my earliest memory of music-making. My life led me next to classical guitar and then to jazz guitar in a continued pursuit of learning and growth. After studying both classical and jazz I find myself back at the source, but with a different viewpoint. In writing, rehearsing, and recording this music my aim was to find common threads amongst these often differentiated genres that I have studied, the attitude of rock n’ roll, the improvisation of jazz, and the beauty of classical music. I’m thankful for family, friends, and teachers along the way and particularly thankful for my band of musical brothers that brought this music to life.
